33. The Power of Love

These essays are written in sequence and build on each other. Read the preceding essay here.

Before we began our exploration of the Law of Attraction, we explored the Law of Sowing & Reaping (for example here and later here) as a fundamental aspect of Creation.

In so doing we established that we should consider everything that comes out from us (volition, thoughts, words, actions) as spiritual seed, that will eventually return multiples in the harvest.

High quality seed is a key ingredient for a good harvest.  The spiritual counterpart to this material observation is that the purer our volition, the more powerful is the spiritual seed.

Love is the purest and most powerful spiritual seed:

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul,
and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it,
Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

— KJV, Matt 22:37-40

We have explored the nature of true love in an earlier essay.  We can go further by stating that actual true love is of God, because God is Love.

So if we consider this within the context of the Law of Attraction, we find that love is the best and most direct connection to the Creator.

Even if a human being is not consciously thinking about the Creator, if he is acting in true love the Law of Attraction connects him with God’s Power:

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying,
Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
And the King shall answer and say unto them,
Verily I say unto you,
Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren,
ye have done it unto me.

— Matt 26:37-41

This sheds further light on a statement made in an earlier essay to the effect that favour, grace, and other gifts of the Almighty do not require a “special” action on His part, but have already been provided for us through His Laws.

It is left to us to study The Word so as to learn about these Laws and then to use them consciously for the benefit of our fellow men.

Love is at the heart of proper understanding and use of God’s Laws, because Creation is an act of Love. Love is the best way to utilize the Law of Sowing & Reaping and the Law of Attraction.

Love is the best source of safety and security.  It is the best investment.

That is not to say that the person who strives to live in love can afford to be naive or careless in an earthly sense:

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves:
be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

— Matt 10:16

In a world dominated by evil, those who align with Love must also apply cleverness to successfully navigate through a system dominated by “wolves” while achieving their loving objectives.

The power of love amplifies the effects of the Law of Sowing and Reaping, because love is the best seed. As long as our actions are done in a spirit of love, we shall surely reap something good.

With this in mind, it becomes clear that:

It is more blessed to give than to receive.

— Attributed to Christ, quoted in Acts 20:35

The “giving” here is meant that which is done in a spirit of selfless love. It is not about giving material goods or money. The action of giving materially is empty if it is not “powered” by true love.

The “blessing” arises both from the Law of Sowing & Reaping and from the connection to God that the loving one receives in the Law of Attraction, which influences and amplifies the operations of sowing and reaping.

Today’s Resolution:

  • We shall seek our security through a faith in God that manifests in love for our fellow men.
